This seminar is designed to familiarize all levels of firefighters with field-proven information on building construction, suppression systems, safety and survival techniques, and in-depth coverage of strategy and tactics for Big Box Stores and commercial occupancy fires. The program is broken into Engine, Truck, and Command sections of each type of occupancy discussed. Also included is situational awareness for the Incident Commander, Company Officer, and line Firefighters.
Aaron Heller began his fire service career in 1984. He is a Deputy Chief with the newly-formed Hamilton Fire Department in Mercer County, NJ. Aaron previously served over 30 years with the Hamilton Township Fire District #9, rising to the rank of Chief. Chief Heller instructs and has been a presenter at several national, regional, and local training events throughout the United States and internationally. He has been published in Fire Engineering Magazine, Fire & Rescue Magazine, The Fire Department Training Network, and several local publications. Aaron is a founding member of the Jersey F.O.O.L.S chapter of the Fraternal Order Of Leatherhead Society and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University. He is also the owner of On Scene Training Associates, LLC.
